The Trico Hall of Fame and Awards Banquet was a success last night...We had our best turnout since 1999 and we will undoubtedly stick with the banquet format...We inducted Sam Labar and Harold Sandercock from the Original Era and Bob Drumbore, Tom Hartman, Randy Remaly and Dale Weiss from the Modern Era...

        Under the category of "late breaking news" the Yankees have just informed me that they can only get 5-to-7 players for Friday and are forfeiting that game...That makes the Gabelsville/ICC game unnecessary (they tied already) and Gabelsville clinches the #1 seed...

        The Yankees can't play late on SAT due to a baptism, so it is Tri-City's choice when to play Game 1...Either 1:30 on SAT, or 5:00 on SUN...If they choose the latter, they will go SUN-MON-TUE...It is Tri-City's choice, whichever option is better for them...

        This choice does affect the Limeport series...If Tri-City goes SUN-MON-TUE, then the Limeport series goes SAT-MON-TUE due to a field conflict...Stay tuned...

        Upper Perk has forfeited their game with Jordan Creek, so the Gators clinch the final playoff spot...The Upper Perk at Limeport game will not be played...

        ALSO, the Lower Nazareth at ICC game has been moved to Scherersville #1 for tonight...Any questions, call Steve at Home...

        Mother Nature threw a monkey wrench into the schedule WED...Limeport Stadium is taken THUR due to a BML game, so Upper Perk will play at Jordan Creek on THUR...If Upper Perk wins, they will play at Limeport on Friday...

        Gabelsville travels to SW on THUR, then they're at the Yankees on FRI and if they don't win both, they play at ICC on SAT and if they lose that one, it's a 1-game playoff at home vs. Tri-City on SUN...Playoffs would start TUE and go WED & THUR with the 2nd round starting SAT under this scenario...If we avoid rain and Gabelsville wins THUR & FRI and Jordan Creek has clinched by FRI, then the playoffs WILL start this SAT...Any questions, call Steve...

        The meeting now goes at 8:00 on THUR...Let's hope we're done with rain for a few days...Stat update coming FRI...

        Because of the Tri-City win, Gabelsville will play at the Northern Yankees on WED, at South Whitehall on THUR, and if Gabelsville does NOT win both of those games, they will play at ICC on Friday...

        Unless we get rain, the playoffs will start on SAT...If Gabelsville wins 2 games, they get the bye and won't have to play until next THUR, the beginning of Round 2...

        Upper Perk will play at Jordan Creek on THUR because that game may mean something...If Upper Perk loses to Limeport and the Yankees beat Gabelsville, then the game will not have to be played...

        Also, Jason Strunk did inform me 2 Saturdays ago and I did tell Mike Brosious that day that his team cannot play at 5:00 or later on Saturday, July 28th for Game 1 of the playoffs (his kid is being baptized and the team is attending the event)...If Tri-City hosts the Yankees, then it'll be their choice to play Game 1 around 1:30 or 2:00 at Tri-City on SAT, or go SUN, MON & TUE for that series...If Limeport hosts the Yankees, they have a choice of playing the Yankees around 1:30 or 2:00 at Limeport OR at the Yankees, and if they choose to play Game 1 at the Yankees, then Games 2 & 3 would be at Limeport...Or they could go SUN, MON, TUE...

        All weekend playoff games start at 5:00...All weekday playoff games start at 5:45...Limeport games are of course at 7:30...

        I have a "my bad" from Sunday...The Yankees DID clinch a playoff spot thanks to the the ICC sweep of Jordan Creek on Sunday...The Yankees are going to the dance...

        Also, the Gabelsville @ ICC tie game may NOT have to made up (unless Gabelsville goes into a 2-game losing streak starting with Tri-City), but it looks as if the Gabelsville at NY tie might have to be played on WED at Scherersville #5, unless the Yankees beat Lehigh Township (or Gabelsville and Milford win Tuesday night)...If these 2 scenarios fail to take place, the Owls will play the Yankees WED, not South Whitehall...

        The Scores/schedule page is completed, but apparently, there are last minute game changes that are happening that I have not been notified about -- tisk tisk...Let's communicate all changes to me so this website works...Managers, email me any mistakes on the schedule so I can correct them IMMEDIATELY, the dang season starts on Friday for crying out loud...Umpires for May have been updated...I still have no info on BUA umpires to put on the site, that should be coming shortly...

        I only have rosters from Milford, South Whitehall (website) and the Yankees (website)...Managers, rosters must be turned in by Wednesday...Make sure that each individual player fills out and signs their own contract and get those to me as you get them (via fax)...Get me pictures/headshots of all players on your team for the website for individual player profiles...They will go on the website as I get them...

        Finally, with the server switch, and with the pages on the site being updated left and right the last 2 weeks, people may be having trouble accessing some pages (I've gotten emails)...If you have Internet Explorer, Click on Tools/Internet Options and delete all Temporary Internet Files...If you have Netscape, click on Edit/Preferences/ the "+" sign on "Advanced", then highlight "Cache" and on the right, clear the disk and memory caches...Also, hitting the "Refresh" button or the PF5 key will automatically give you the most updated pages on the site...Do that occasionally over the next week or 2...

        The Scores/schedule page has the links working through July 27th...More of the website will be up Sunday night...The overall league schedule is on the page, there is one game missing, though (Cetronia/Jordan Creek)... 2001 will mark the year that we will finally be able to expand the tournament field back up to its original sixteen-team format.  The format will remain a group round robin format, guaranteeing each club a minimum of three games during the weekend.  Games will begin Thursday June 14^th with commuting teams at lighted fields.  The location of the tournament will remain primarily in Western Berks County at the Conrad Weiser High School Campus and the Robesonia Playground ball field as well as a few games in the Reading area.

The entry fee for this year’s event has been set at $275.00.  For your convenience, we are now able to accept VISA and MasterCard for your tournament entry fee.
