Tri-County Baseball League - Minutes of Meeting
Wednesday, April 9th, 2003, 7:30 p.m., Jordan A.C.
Johnson is no stranger to the struggles of business, having filed for Replica Handbags UK bankruptcy in 2012, but to her it's all part of the ride. "It ain't hard when you love it," she deadpanned. "It's beautiful when you love it, and I still love it after 50 years. I still love it. I'm creative consultant for all my brands, so I kick them in the ass when they need to get a little more Replica Designer Handbags creative. It's great. It's just perfect. I've had a Cheap Watches UK perfectly wonderful, happy life."As for her plans for the Fake Watches UK awards ceremony, she'll attend with her family, including her daughter, Lulu, Hublot Replica UK and two granddaughters. "I'm going to drag my whole family on stage to cartwheel with me," she laughed about what she'll do when she accepts the Christian Louboutin Replica UK award. Just another thing to look forward to at the CFDA Awards ceremony on June 1.
Absent: Lehigh Township.
Late: None.
Due next
meeting: All Outstanding Fees, bring rosters to Statistician
March’s meeting minutes: Motion to accept made by
Mike Cunningham. Second by Mike Brosious.
Joe
Stemrich made a brief presentation, stating that he is acting President of the
BUA for 2003. Ernie Patterson may not umpire any games in any league this summer
due to a very busy personal schedule and has temporarily stepped aside as
President of the BUA. Stemrich announced that there is a BUA 2003 umpire clinic
to be held at Notre Dame High School (Green Pond) on Sunday, May 4, that will
run from 8 a.m. (Registration at 7:30 a.m.) till about 2 p.m. For more
information, see the Correspondence Page.
A
note to all Managers: ALL league fees must be paid at the May 8 meeting or your
team cannot start the season. If you are not sure what you
owe, then refer to the treasurer’s report (below) or call Ray Ganser.
Paul
Pupo of the LSBR Quebec league in Canada informed Marty Rowan that they do want
a return trip to Limeport for another set of All-Star games for 2003. The
Canadian League also agreed to split the fees. Marty will try and work out a
weekend that works for both leagues and added, “They must have enjoyed kicking
our ass last year so much that they want to come back and do it again”.
No
official word on the “progress of talks” with the BML on renewing the Lehigh
Valley Championship Series. More discussion is needed.
There
were a whole slew of schedule changes made. As soon as the Vice-President can
sort them out, he will send the latest updated schedule to the Statistician to
put it on the website. There are still games that need to be changed. Upper
Perk needs to move 4 home games due to legion conflicts, LT needs to move at
least 2, Limeport still has one too many away games, and other games need to be
moved. The deadline for finalizing the schedule is Thursday, May 1. The
President also stated that before making any further schedule changes, the team
making the schedule change MUST contact the other team first, before making the
change.
The
President noted that he heard a lot of rumors about schedule issues made
through other officers, and stated for the record that if there are ANY
scheduling issues, or ANY league issues at all, to please have all managers
contact him so he can settle the issues and try and limit the behind-the-scenes chatter.
The
Umpire Assignor noted that if we make wholesale changes to the original
schedule, especially in May, then we lose some quality high school and college
umpires who have already been assigned to do some May games. He added that although
we have a big loss in 2003 (Ernie Patterson), we did pick up Bob Varju, Bill
Pensyl and Rich Frey this year. The umpire fees will be $43 per umpire, and
this is the final year of the 3-year contract.
The
President informed us that since there is no weekly radio show for 2003 (we do
have one preview show in May), Parma Pizza has withdrawn sponsorship for the
Parma Pizza Pitcher of the Week. The League does thank Parma Pizza once again
for sponsoring that award in 2002.
However,
Yocco’s will continue to sponsor a Player of the Week. It was decided that a
player rep must nominate at least one player from his team a week on Saturday.
The player rep must call or email the Statistician (include their stats) on
Saturday, the Statistician will post all nominations on the website on Sunday,
and each player rep must vote via email or phone on Monday. The Statistician
will post the winner on Tuesday. The President does have a vote, along with a
player rep from every team. The award is given for all games played during the
week, starting on Saturday and ending on Friday.
The
league voted “in favor” of not allowing the player rep to vote for his own team
for the Yocco’s weekly award.
We
were informed that Dave Snyder did order 85 dozen baseballs and the cost will
be $48 a dozen. Snyder still has 1 dozen from last year. The breakdown per team
for boxes ordered:
Banko:
5, Bushkill: 6, Cetronia: 6, Gabelsville: 5, ICC: 5, Jordan Creek: 5, Lehigh
Township: 10, Limeport: 6, Milford: 5, Northern Yankees: 6, South Whitehall: 7,
Tri-City: 6, Upper Perk: 2.
Billy
Fatzinger attended the meeting and wanted to know why he was put on the
blacklist by Limeport for owing trophies. After a lengthy and somewhat heated
discussion, a “gentlemen’s agreement” was reached and Fatzinger was taken off
the blacklist with the understanding that he WILL return the trophies to
Limeport when the Bulls visit Cetronia on May 28.
Don
Rosenberger asked why we have our meetings on Wednesdays during the first four
months, which interfere with his bowling night, and THEN move the meetings to
Thursdays, once his Bowling League is over? The Officers will ponder that one.
The
Statistician needs all Rosters for the next meeting. Also, managers need to
compile a team preview for the paper and our one-and-only radio show. Get that
ready for Marty Rowan by early May.
Adjournment: Motion by Bob Fatzinger. Second by Don “Mr. 300”
Rosenberger.
