Blue Mountain/Tri-County All-Stars

From Morning Call Staff Reports

The 13th annual Blue Mountain/Tri-County League All-Star baseball game, showcasing the top amateur players in the Lehigh Valley, will be played at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Limeport.

This year's game has been named in honor of Frances Riley, the late Morning Call sports department employee who took BML and Tri-Co results over the phone from 1982 to 1999. Each league made a donation in Riley's name to be given to her designated charity, the Catholic Social Agency.

The Tri-Co has won the last two games in the series, but still trails in the series 8-3. The 1991 game was rained out after a few innings.
