2005 Comments: Upper Perk had a disappointing 2004 season after making a nice run at the playoffs in 2003, finishing one game out of the final playoff spot...If Jeff Moyer's pitching arm is healthy again, then expect the Chiefs to bounce back in 2005 and seriously contend and possibly grab the 7th playoff spot...The talent seems to be there, but can they make a run?...The good core players are still in place, in Matt Rush (.373, 23 Runs), Moyer (.323, 26 RBI), Scott Gehringer (.369, 6 3Bs, 21 Runs), Ryan Mark (.379), Jason Butler (.313), Dave Nowicki and Dan Pierce...Not having Abe Yeakel and Troy Pieffer will hurt, but the key to the season rests with the left arm of Moyer, along with workhorses Tom Pletcher, Chris Threadgill and Rush...If the Chiefs can eliminate their annual tradition of losing to Milford twice a season, then they have the capability to sneak into that final playoff spot...
