A Message from Tri-County League President, Tom Bonilla
As we look ahead to the 2026 season, I want to personally thank everyone who has chosen to continue this journey with Tri-County Baseball. The upcoming season will mark the first official year under my leadership, and I am confident that—working together—we will deliver the best experience this league has ever offered.
Having managed a men’s league baseball team from 2020 through 2024, I understand firsthand the challenges faced by both managers and players. Those experiences have shaped my vision and reinforced my commitment to creating a league that is better organized, more competitive, and more rewarding for everyone involved. My goal is simple: to significantly improve the overall experience for our players, managers, umpires, and families.
Immediate Changes Already in Motion
Affordability and accessibility are essential to the long-term health of our league. As the cost of living continues to rise, it is more important than ever that we protect the recreational opportunities that keep us active, connected, and engaged with our community.
-
Effective immediately, player registration fees for the summer season will be reduced by 20%, bringing the cost to $60 per player.
-
Team registration fees will be reduced from $400 to virtually zero, following the rebate or return of each team’s league deposit.
In 2026, we will also implement a Code of Conduct and Probationary Agreement to ensure a safe, competitive, and respectful environment on and off the field. This initiative will strengthen accountability across the league and reinforce our partnership with umpires—an essential part of our success. Our goal is to set the standard as the most well-rounded men’s baseball league in the Greater Lehigh Valley, one where families and fans enjoy high-level baseball played by first-class organizations.
My Commitment to the League
Under my leadership, Tri-County Baseball will prioritize recognition, investment, and competitive balance:
-
Every award winner, every season, will be honored with a trophy worthy of their achievement—including Most Valuable Player, Cy Young, Silver Slugger, and Coach of the Year in each division.
-
Our All-Star Game will continue to grow in prestige through improved venues and enhanced prizes for participants.
-
Preseason league funds will be reinvested directly into the fields we use, ensuring safe, professional-quality playing conditions.
-
The history of our league will be preserved and celebrated through Hall of Fame nominations, career stat leaders, and historical recognition.
-
Championship teams in each division will receive expanded rewards, and league personnel will oversee free agency efforts to promote competitive balance across all divisions.
Our Competition Committee is composed of experienced league veterans who consistently place the league’s best interests first. With expanded decision-making authority, this group will play a critical role in driving meaningful and lasting improvements.
The 2026 season marks the beginning of a new era of baseball in the Lehigh Valley—one built on purpose over profit, governed by us, and designed for us.
I am honored and excited to serve as your league president, and I look forward to building this future together.
