Managers and Players,
After considerable discussion and long-term planning, the league has reached a decision regarding the structure of our divisions—particularly our current 25+ division.
Beginning in the 2027 season, we will maintain our AAA and AA divisions, introduce a new “A” division, and replace the existing 25+ division with a 30+ division. The updated structure is outlined below:
AAA Division (Ages 17+)
Our highest level of competition. The schedule is designed to accommodate college athletes for a significant portion of the season.
- Season: Early–Mid May through Mid August
- Approximately 18 regular season games
AA Division (Ages 17+)
A high level of competition with a slightly shorter schedule than AAA. The season begins earlier, prior to most college athletes returning for the summer.
- Season: Late April–Early May through Late August
- Approximately 17 regular season games
A Division (Ages 17+)
A recreational division focused on accessibility and balanced competition. No doubleheaders will be scheduled.
- Season: Mid April through Late August/Early September
- Approximately 16 regular season games
30+ Division
This division will be implemented with a phased age requirement:
- 2027 Season: Minimum age 27
- 2028 Season: Minimum age 28
- 2029 Season: Minimum age 29
- 2030 and beyond: Minimum age 30
- Season: Mid April through Late August/Early September
- Approximately 16 regular season games
We are confident that our current 25+ teams will find a suitable fit within either the A Division or the 30+ Division moving forward. These changes position the league for continued growth, while helping reduce player costs, limit travel, and enhance the overall summer baseball experience.
In addition to these divisional changes, pricing structure will also undergo some changes. Starting 2027 there will no longer be a team fee (or deposit) of any kind for teams who have access to their own field. Teams who utilize fields leased by The Tri-County Baseball League will pay a percentage of the total lease cost, (approximately $400 per team.)
