10/20/03 --- I added a picture to Bill Sandt's write-up in the Hall of Fame section, 1995...If any Hall of Famers want pictures added to their page or want their write-ups rewritten to include more/current information, then please email Steve and we will update these pages...If any past or current players want pictures added to the site, email Steve, they can go into the League History section, which is slowly but surely being compiled...

 

10/17/03 --- We have a new poll to vote on for the offseason: Should the BML and Trico merge?...Go to the Home Page to vote...

 

10/15/03 --- The Forums are back up...I cleaned out most of the crap, but if I missed something that should be deleted, please Email Steve and we will delete it...Let's sign our names to our posts...If there are offensive remarks posted in the Forums, they will be deleted immediately, and if it becomes problematic again, the Forums will be shut down again...There have been 64,525 hits in the Forums since we opened that section on May 27, 2002...

 

10/11/03 --- Updated Seasonal and Career Stats will be added to the website in the upcoming months...So will Home and Away stats & Playoff stats going back to 1999...We'll try and get some of the stuff on the site that can currently only be seen in the Banquet Programs...Stay tuned to this page to see when stuff is posted...Also, the Forums will be up soon, and so will the Guest Book...The Guest Book was temporarily disabled because I got tired of deleting all the spam that has been going in there...

 

9/18/03 --- We have free food and free beer and soda for our League Picnic, which will be at Scherersville #5, the pavilion on the hill, from 1 to 5 p.m. on SAT Sept. 20...The program is done, with tons of stats and info, and I probably won't update the stats on the website till NOV or DEC at the earliest, so you're first shot to view all the updated career numbers, home & away stats, etc., will be this SAT...           Also, check out the following link for more info in playing in the Gabelsville Owls 2003 Golf Tournament on Sept. 21: http://www.tricountyleague.com/Gabelsville_Golf_Tourney.htm...

 

8/24/03 --- Ok, I'm back from a one-week vacation, which is why the site was not updated...As I get more information to post, I will do so...Congratulations to Lehigh Township, the 2003 Champs...And, Sunday's game with the Canadians has been cancelled because they had to go back SAT night...Somehow, this information was NOT shared with the All-Star MGR, who did not know this bit of info until the games began on SAT...           The Guest Book is back up and running (it was down for an unknown reason) and the Forums will be operational again soon (they were taken down deliberately)...

 

8/17/03 --- Game 3 has been moved to TUE at 5:45 at Gabelsville because the Owls' field is unavailable for MON...Game 4 is WED and Game 5, if necessary is THUR...           Our All-Star team is shaping up nicely vs. the Canadians for this weekend...Any players interested in playing, please email the Manager for this series, Dylan Dando at dylandando@aol.com this week...Game 1 is 4:00, Game 2 is 30 minutes after Game 1 and Game 3 is SUN at 10:30 a.m....All games are at Limeport...Their MGR has informed us that they are bringing a better team this year (and they kicked our butts last year), but I expect to make a better showing this year...

 

8/15/03 --- A time change for Game 3 of the Finals, it'll be at 4:30 at Gabelsville...Again, email Steve through this SUN if you're interested in playing the Canadians in 1 of the 3 All-Star Games next weekend...

 

8/12/03 --- A time change for Game 2 of the Finals, it'll be at 4:30 at Lehigh Township...And the meeting has been moved to Monday, August 25 at 7:00...

 

8/11/03 --- Looks like the Canadian All-Star Games are ON for SAT August 23 (a double-header) and SUN August 24 (an early afternoon game)...It'll be at Limeport again...Now we need players...Please email Steve if you are interested in playing in any of these 3 games...Email me by this SUN, because I go on vacation MON...You'll have to email Mike Brosious or Marty Rowan after this SUN if you want to play...           Finally got the last regular season stat sheet so I will post the Final regular season stats TUE afternoon...Some teams are done already, but I will be wrapping up ICC, Bushkill, Limeport, LT and Banko tonight...If there are any corrections, please email Steve ASAP...

 

8/9/03 --- Another time change for Game 4, this one at Limeport, no reason given, but game time is now 6:00...

 

8/8/03 --- Another time change for Game 3, this one at Tri-City, no reason given, but game time is now 4:30...

 

8/6/03 --- There is a time change for Game 3 at Gabelsville on SAT due to an event at the club there...Game time is now 2:30...

 

8/3/03 --- Due to the rainouts on SUN, the start of the Semifinals have been moved back to WED..

 

8/1/03 --- Time change for Game 2 at ICC: that one goes at 4:30...Also, we have a new poll to vote on...

 

7/31/03 --- One stat sheet missing: 7/24: LT at Banko...There is a time change for Game 3 of the Limeport series, if necessary...

 

7/30/03 --- Stats are updated...Three stat sheets missing: 7/24: LT at Banko, 7/27: Lime at Bush & 7/28: ICC at Bush...All other teams are complete, but not necessarily final, there are some corrections to be made yet...Scorekeepers, please send me an email reminder of any stats I have forgotten to correct over the last month...The link to see the players who are NOT eligible to play in the Playoffs for each team is posted on the Team Statistics Page...

 

7/29/03 --- There will be a stat update on TUE and a listing of what players are not eligible to play in the Playoffs...Stay tuned...Still missing 6 stat sheets, please get them in ASAP...The new Playoff schedule is posted...

 

7/28/03 --- If there are any volunteers to cover playoff games for the website, please email me by THUR, the start of the playoffs...Josh Goodin can only do a game a week, and my availability may be limited...If we do not get volunteers, we won't cover as many games as last year (when we covered all of them)...Volunteers CAN include players on playoff teams, you'll need access to the scorebook after the games, though, because we are looking for stat sheets and a write-up to be posted on the site the same night of the game...

 

7/27/03 --- Managers/Scorekeepers, PLEASE email or fax me missing stat sheets Monday afternoon or bring them to the meeting because I need these sheets to possibly determine playoff eligibility for some players...And playoff MGRS, please bring your scorebook to the meeting...

 

7/24/03 --- The meeting has a time change, now at 7:45 since we now have a game scheduled for Monday...Playoffs will start on Thursday...Results were posted late on THUR because Marty Rowan, Mike Brosious and myself were on the phone for about 3 hours dealing with league issues that came up...           All games have been rescheduled, although we're waiting for Upper Perk to confirm the make-up with SW on Sunday...All schedules on the site ARE updated...

 

7/20/03 --- The meeting is set for Monday, July 28 at 7:00...We will have the playoff MGRs vote on when we are starting the playoffs after an open forum...If there are any rainouts this week, they MUST be rescheduled NO LATER than SAT...If there are 2 days rained out this week, then play DHs on SAT, we want to wrap up the season on SAT, so we'll be playing on neutral fields if we have to IF there are rainouts...

 

7/19/03 --- PLAYOFFS NOTE: The Playoffs will NOT start on SAT, July 26, they are tentatively scheduled to start on SUN, July 27...However, many managers have stated that this is too soon after the end of the season due to all the make-up games, so IF the regular season ends on the 25th, in all likelihood, the playoffs will start on TUE, July 29, subject to a vote at the next meeting by all the playoff teams' managers...

 

7/18/03 --- The league is now scheduling make-ups for those games that have not been rescheduled...UP @ NY is now slated for July 25, and TC @ LT is slated for July 22...Also, JC @ UP is July 24...And the Bushkill vs. UP doubleheader has been changed for SAT...Any questions, please contact an Officer...And the meeting will NOT be on Friday, July 25, it will either be SAT, SUN or MON, depending on the weather next week...           Also, legion player eligibilty: All players designated as legion players need either 4 games appeared in or 10 plate appearances to qualify and to pitch, they need 10 plate appearances or 8 2/3 innings pitched...

 

7/17/03 --- Playoff scenarios are posted on the Standings Page (11 teams are still mathematically alive after Thursday's games)...Also, it has been ruled that Banko and Milford WILL play the game that should have been played on 7/13...Milford needs to find a date to play Banko...And the Bushkill/Banko 12-12 tie does NOT have to be replayed if it has no bearings on the playoffs...

 

7/16/03 --- Every stat sheet I have received is posted...I am missing several stat sheets from Banko & Milford, and some from NY and Limeport...As soon as I get these stat sheets in, we'll have another stat update in a few days...

 

7/14/03 --- The Stats are updated...A LOT of stat sheets missing, Please get them in ASAP...Got a bunch on Monday, we'll get them posted TUE night...

 

7/13/03 --- Team schedules are updated with all make-up dates that I have been given...Please call me with any make-up dates that are not listed...Due to being on the phone many hours dealing with league issues SUN night, the Stat update has been pushed back to Late Monday night...

 

7/12/03 --- C'mon folks...I know it' getting late in the season, but 2 Double-Headers were not called in on SAT, and the one that was had no linescore or hits & errors given...And some teams are falling behind on stat sheets...Let's buck up the final 2 weeks and call these games in...I have an answering machine, leave the info on there...

 

7/11/03 --- A stat update will be posted late SUN night and SAT's game results will be posted Late SAT because of a wedding in Philly that I'll be attending...Please leave all game results on my answering machine or cell phone voicemail...

 

7/10/03 --- A bunch of stat sheets (at least 25) have been posted...Some teams are falling behind in getting their stat sheets in...Please get them in ASAP because I'd like to do a Stat update late THUR night or FRI afternoon if possible...           There is a game today, Bushkill at Tri-City...Also, Pat Higgins has been named to the team...Batting practice starts at 6:00 for Trico players...

 

7/9/03 --- Kyle Peters cannot make the All-Star Game due to a family commitment, but we have added Jason Alcott, Joe Pochron & Adam Swavely...

 

7/7/03 --- Brandon Leslie has been taken off the All-Star roster due to a prior commitment and Pat Lane, Kyle Peters and Steve Rothermel have been added...Click on the All-Star team on the Home Page as we do have BP and infield times posted so players know when to show up...

 

7/5/03 --- President Marty Rowan and Tri-City manager Bob Fatzinger will be guests on a local radio show with Keith Groller and Ted Meixell Sunday morning on WEEX 1230 AM and WYNS 1160 AM on your radio dial...Marty will be on at 11:15 to preview the All-Star Game and Bob will be on at 11:30 to talk about his team and their tremendous start and current 20-game winning streak...           Also, the Banko at JC make-up game is NOT being played on July 7, but we need to get a date for that game...

 

7/2/03 --- President Marty Rowan has decided not to shut down the Forums Page temporarily, but he does have an announcement posted if you click on the Forums link...

 

7/1/03 --- The PREZ will be making an Announcement that will be posted on the Forums Page (that links to the Forums), early WED afternoon about some of the recent goings-on in the Forums...Also, PenTeleData is having major email issues since Sunday morning and I have not been receiving email the last 3 days...Emails sent to me on SUN have been popping into my Inbox TUE night...It's a joke...If people need to email me, use my email address on the Contacts Page...

 

6/30/03 --- Mason Messinger has been added to the All-Star team...The team is listed on the Home Page...The game is July 11...

 

6/28/03 --- Technical difficulties prevented the update of the Limeport score and the standings in a timely manner last night...The All-Star Team is posted, the link can be found on the Home Page...Updated team schedules and the calendar schedule are updated with ALL the makeups (but 2, yet to be set)...

 

6/27/03 --- Umpire assignments for the rest of the season will be added this weekend...

 

6/26/03 --- The All-Star team has been chosen and will be posted some time on Friday, maybe late...All stat sheets received have been posted...

 

6/21/03 --- Transactions coming in fast & furious these last 24 hours...Roster deadline is tonight at Midnight...

 

6/20/03 --- The roster deadline is Saturday, June 21st at midnight...I've had managers call me at 11:55 before to make last minute changes...A ton of stat sheets came in the last 2 days, I'll get them on Friday after midnight or Saturday...

 

6/18/03 --- I have some additional notes and a landmark now included in the directions to Bushkill's field...It can be a little confusing on the first trip there, so check out the directions again on the Fields Page and take note of the Exxon landmark among other things...           People have been emailing me with corrections to stat sheets...Please feel free to do this, plenty of mistakes do happen...The changes I have made from emails on Wednesday show up on the stat sheets, but those changes will not be reflected on the Team Stats page until the next Stats update...And the Yocco's winner for the week of June 7th is posted...

6/6/03 --- Stats are posted on the Team Stats page and they include all games played through June 2nd...

 

6/5/03 --- All 56 games played through 6/2 have stat sheets posted...Stats for these 56 games should be posted on Friday night...

 

6/4/03 --- Congratulations to Troy Fry of the ICC Pirates, who got drafted in the 24th round by the New York Mets!!...           I am looking for a volunteer(s) to get head shots of all the players we do not have on the site (and those who might want a newer pic)...Even if you can get shots of just your team, that would be great...I do not have time before games this year to do it, gotta write lineups and such...When you take the pics, make sure you get the player from the waist on up, and then I'll crop the pictures once you email them to me to fit on the site properly...You can do team photos, too, people have suggested that to me and I think that would be good for the site...

 

6/3/03 --- We set a record for most visits to the website yesterday (June 2nd) with 926...We had 899 on June 1st, which is 3rd-place all time...So the site has been popular the last 2 days...The record was 914 visits set last July 2nd...We averaged 507 visits a day last month, which is 2nd-place all-time to July of 2002, which averaged 551 visits per day...This month will probably shatter that record...Website Stats can be found on the MISC Page...On those pages, you can see what the Top 100 most visited pages are monthly...           5 more stat sheets added today, so we have 55 out of 56 games posted...The only game whose stat sheet is missing is ICC at LT from June 2...

 

6/2/03 --- Jordan Creek is at Cetronia tonight...Folks, please call or email the website with make-up dates so we can get all these games on the site...There are several rain-outs that I do not have dates for yet...Check your team schedules to see if it's up to date or not...           We'll try and get stats posted some time this week...50 stat sheets are posted out of 56 games...51 have been received, I'm waiting for an error to be corrected on #51 before posting...

 

6/1/03 --- More photos from Eric Schmitt have been added (that link is on the Home Page)...I will also add every other stat sheet I received this week to the site on Monday...           Also, since we had only 2 nominations for the Yocco's POW last week, and the stats were not even close for the 2 nominees, there really was no need for a vote, the winner is posted...Get nominations in for this past week by Monday night...

 

5/29/03 --- Josh Goodin has done his first website article for 2003 and it can be found on the May 29 Page of the Scores/Schedules Page...Another great job of coverage...I will revamp Josh's Page this weekend and later move this initial article there...

 

5/27/03 --- ICC does NOT play Bushkill this WED, that game was moved to June 8th...The calendar schedule is right 99.9% of the time and that game was never on there for May 28...Get rainout and tie games rescheduled and called in to the website...I have 2 rescheduled so far: Limeport at Milford for June 3 and UP at SW for July 23...

 

5/21/03 --- Eric Schmitt says he will be taking some sample pictures for the league on off nights (and he doesn't have many of those playing in the BML, too)...I have created a section for him which can be found on the Home Page if you click on the camera icon...

 

5/20/03 --- We have our first winner of the Yocco's Player of the Week for Week #1 and it is posted on the Yocco's Page...Not every team voted, but we had a majority...All 27 stat sheets I have received are posted...32 games have been played...

 

5/19/03 --- The umpires assigned our games through June 7 have been faxed to me...They are being posted on the website...We have had roster additions/subtractions every day and they can be found on the Transactions Page on the Profiles/Rosters Page...

 

5/16/03 --- We have Poll #3 to vote for on the Home Page...Who is the early favorite to win MVP?...One game was played tonight, and the injured Strunky already called in the stat sheet for the ICC game, it is posted...Now that's how the website should work, stat sheets posted same night as the game, while it's "fresh" and more accurate...

 

5/15/03 --- Stat sheets are being posted the day I get them for the most part...If there are any blatant errors, please email Steve (I've already received a few emails)...I did not get the LT at Milford game, remember, there is a new fax #, so you may have to re-fax that game to me...Transactions have been occurring every day and all roster moves have been posted on a daily basis on the Transactions Page, which can be found on the Profiles Page...

 

5/13/03 --- Been having problems with MS-Front Page the last 2 nights and it has been VERY difficult to update the site...All 8 stat sheets that I have received have been posted on the site...

 

5/11/03 --- A reminder: When the scores are being updated, some users (especially AOL users) will not see the updates unless they hit the "Refresh" key or the "F5" key...All scores were posted by 10:10 on SAT...If it was 11:00, and you had no scores, then you need to hit F5 or Refresh while on the May 10 page...           When the Scores/Schedules "button" on the home page is in Red, then we have at least one score updated on the site...We have Transactions occurring already (Profiles Page) and the Previews for every team have been altered now that the rosters have been posted...All schedule changes made at the meeting have been posted...I have NOT received umpire assignments for 2003 as of yet...

 

5/10/03 --- Managers, please remember to call the website with all game results...Give linescores, winning pitcher, losing pitcher and a few "stars of the game"...We may be the only amateur league anywhere that posts game results (and some stat sheets) the same night games are played...

 

5/9/03 --- The 2003 Rosters can be found on the Profiles Page, just click on the team logo and scroll down to see the roster...Please listen to our one and only radio show Saturday morning at 9:30 on WHOL-1600 AM, with host Punkin' Miller and guests Marty Rowan and Lee Higgins...They will preview the 2003 season...

 

5/8/03 --- Rosters will be posted Friday evening...A few lingering schedule changes made at the meeting will be posted Friday evening...Profiles will be changed Friday evening due to the release of the rosters at Thursday's meeting...

 

5/7/03 --- The SW vs ICC game on May 11 has been postponed by ICC due to a field conflict...A makeup date will be worked out and posted on the schedule...

 

5/6/03 --- Most Limeport Sunday home games are being played at 1:00 this year, instead of 7:30...So there have been changes made to the website schedules regarding 4 games that fit this description...

 

5/3/03 --- The overall League schedule has been posted on the Scores/Schedules Page...If there are mistakes, call me or email me...

 

5/2/03 --- All 208 games are now scheduled and on the website...Managers, if there are mistakes, call me or email me and let me know...

 

4/30/03 --- Managers, please check your schedules on the website and email me or call me with any mistakes...Also, get me the missing games...About 1/2 the teams seem to have a complete 32-game schedule, the other half need to get me their corrections...

 

4/28/03 --- Folks, we still have mistakes on the schedule...Team schedules are posted, but ONLY Jordan Creek, Limeport and Milford have 16 home and 16 away games...Once LT and NY schedule a SW game, these 3 teams will be fine...That leaves 7 teams with "incorrect" schedules...Managers, please review your schedules on the website and get ALL corrections to Steve ASAP...

 

4/26/03 --- Team schedules will be posted on Monday...

 

4/23/03 --- The June and July calendar schedules are posted...

 

4/22/03 --- Received a fax from the VP, so I will put the schedule on the website WED evening...There are still a few games not scheduled...Managers, if you see mistakes, email or call me with corrections ASAP so EVERYONE is on the same page with this schedule...The May schedule is posted on the Scores/Schedules Page...

 

4/20/03 --- As soon as the VP sends me an updated schedule, I'll post it on the website, hopefully early this week...

 

4/10/03 --- The Minutes for the April 9th meeting have been posted on the Meetings Page...Managers, please realize that ALL fees must be paid at the May 8th meeting, or you cannot start your season...To see what you owe, please refer to the April 9th minutes on the Meetings Page, the 2003 link (obviously)...Then scroll to the bottom and there is a chart for "Outstanding Balances"...These totals are what every team owes for the May meeting...           Also, please bring rosters to the May 8th meeting and prepare a team preview for Marty Rowan as soon as possible, so he can pass it on to Keith Groller of the Morning Call in early May, and have it for himself for our one-and-only radio show in May...Also, putting the schedules on the website is once again delayed because there have been tons of changes...Once the Vice-Prez gets me an updated version, I'll put that on the site...And, the 1999 and 2000 Hall of Fame write-ups have been added...

 

4/2/03 --- The 1993 summaries are posted in the Hall of Fame section and all the links have been updated in the Hall of Fame area...If anyone has the write-ups and/or pictures for the 1999 and 2000 inductees, please forward them to me or email me...The next meeting is WED, April 9th at 7:30...Also, the directions for the Bushkill Cardinals' new field is posted on the Fields Page...

 

3/31/03 --- The Minutes Page is up to date with all of the 2003 minutes and all other Minutes received to this date from the Secretary...We'll hopefully add missing Minutes from 2001 and 2002 if they get forwarded to me...Also, the Website Statistics page is updated, and that link can be found on the MISC page...If you have a 56k modem, these pages will take approximately 2 minutes to load...The career hitting pages take about 90 seconds to load and the career pitching pages take just over a minute to load on a 56k modem...These are the slowest pages on the site, other than the Profiles Page, which takes 113 seconds to load, and the 2002 All-Star team link, which takes 3 minutes to load on a 56k modem...

 

3/25/03 --- The Profiles Page is up and running again...Once rosters are turned in, some of the 2003 preview information will undoubtedly change...The next meeting is WED, April 10th at 7:30...If there are any mistakes with links or anything else on the Profiles Page, please email Steve...

 

3/20/03 --- The Schedule will not be posted just yet because 1) some teams do not have 32 games, so these mistakes must be corrected and 2) there are TONS of changes that need to be made by several teams...NOTE to all teams: Please feel free to change AS MANY HOME games as you like, you can change them all if you want to, just be sure to let the other team know where you're moving them AND email me or call me with any changes...Also, Friday, May 9th IS a date you can move games to if need be...

 

3/18/03 --- The Correspondence Page is up and running and the Hall of Fame Page has been updated...

 

3/16/03 --- The Forums Page is back up...The new Scores/Schedules Page is posted, minus the schedules, which will be posted as the games for the schedule become available...

 

3/15/03 --- The Forums Page has been down since Friday...No explanation...That entire server is down, so there are 1000s of Forums across the country also down...The Forums are not on this website, we link to those Forums...           I will post the preliminary schedule for 2003 after the meeting this WED at 7:30...It'll be on the site late WED or some time on THUR...

 

3/12/03 --- Meeting time has been moved to 7:30 on WED, March 19th...           Oh, and somebody at Cetronia has WAY too much free time, clearing their cache and re-voting over and over again (unless they have access to about 20 work pcs a day, in which case, that might be considered playing by the rules)...Or perhaps their fan-base has grown to new heights thanks to their website...It's a mystery...

 

3/9/03 --- Happy Birthday to the website, 3 years old this past Saturday...We will continue to add more information and history in Year 4...If anyone has any suggestions, please email Steve or use the Forums...

 

3/6/03 --- The Cetronia Longhorns and the Bushkill Cardinals are getting big surges of votes in our new poll on the home page...Should make for an interesting tally...All voting results have a +/- 5% accuracy rating and are not scientific...

 

3/2/03 --- The Trico Forums are back up...We have new guidelines...PLEASE follow them...As we approach the 3-year anniversary of this website, I was very upset to hear last week that several BML players are upset by the stupid comments made by some clowns hiding behind aliases on the Forums Page...ALL potentially offensive remarks have been removed...If any remain, please Email Steve...Also, an investigation is under way to see who The Messiah is/was...After talking to many, many people over the last 4 days, I believe someone was impersonating a certain person...If this is the case (and we WILL find out who it is because we are going to the authorities), then this person will be dealt with by our Officers if he is a person playing in the Tri-County League...Please exercise common sense before posting in our forums...And please realize that you can get caught if you cross the line with your comments...

 

2/27/03 --- The website is undergoing some changes...For those of you keeping score, we now have color-coding on our Home Page on the left...For the off-season, if a page is spelled out in yellow (like the Announcements Page and a few others are right now), then that page has been updated in the last 3-to-7 days...If a page is spelled out in light blue, then it is under construction...If the font is white, then it has not been updated in at least a week...We will add to the color scheme during the regular season to signify nightly updates...

 

2/26/03 --- Career Leaders and Seasonal Leaders have been updated on the MISC Page...Some Trico Forums stats: There have been 436 posts (a few were deleted) and there have been 28,695 total page views (as of 4:30 on WED) since the Forums opened, most of those views occurring the past few months...           Website MISC: Many countries are still finding our website...This month (through the 25th) we have had visitors from Canada (536 hits), Netherlands (21), Australia (19), Switzerland (12), Poland (10), Denmark (6), Brazil (5), Estonia (4), Japan (4), United Kingdom (3), Austria (2), Italy (2), Seychelles (2), Turkey (2), Belgium (1) and Viva la France (1)...

 

2/25/03 --- Career Stats have been updated for Pitching...Also redid the Career Hitting Stats to a slightly different format...Will be working on the Seasonal Leaders and Career Leaders links on the MISC Page tonight and that'll be done either LATE tonight or WED afternoon...Will be updating other pages during the week...
