11/4/04 --- We are having a League Party or get-together at the Jordan A.C. on November 11th at 7:00...There is a $10 fee, and free food and beer will be available...Awards will be given out to the league leaders for the 2004 season...Anyone is welcome to attend...We do have 4 Hall of Fame inductees, but the league has decided to induct them in the summer of 2005, as we look for a more "suitable" and "respectable" format to induct these players...The players that will be inducted in 2005 are Lew Chillot, Joe Ricapito, Joe Sedler and Jason Young...

 

10/10/04 --- Remember, the bylaws meeting is Monday, October 11 at 7:00 at the Jordan A.C....We will discuss when to have the banquet, probably in November...

 

9/9/04 --- Banquet has been postponed to October as a change of venue is in order and we are looking to possibly having it at Rookie's...Also, the ESPN Bottom Line has been added to the Home Page and you can click on the different categories to get updates...

9/2/04 --- The Guest Book is back up...There is a new poll to vote on...

 

9/1/04 --- All stat sheets are in...Getting a few emails pointing out stat errors and I am now working to tidy up all the little mistakes scorekeepers have been making, but otherwise, all the stat and stat sheets are posted, so I can work on the Banquet Program while I revamp the site...Drop me an email if something in the stats looks awry...

 

8/31/04 --- Missing just one stat sheet now, so only Limeport and ICC's stats are not updated, because I am missing the stat sheet for the July 30th tilt, which ICC won 7-5...There was a correction made to the LT stats, due to "pilot error" the last UP game was included twice on yesterday's post, but that has been corrected...I am still seeing some little errors here and there, and I am making the necessary corrections...Email Steve if more corrections are needed...

 

8/30/04 --- Final Team Stats are posted for 6 teams...The other 6 teams: Gab, ICC, Lime, Milf, NY & UP are all involved in the 3 stat sheets that I have not received as of yet (inexcusable) and until I get these sheets, the final stats cannot be posted...If there are any corrections on the stats, please contact Steve ASAP...

 

8/29/04 --- Folks, I still need 4 stat sheets...Need 7/20 UP at Milf, 7/26 Gab at NY, 7/30 Lime at ICC and 8/8 ICC at Lime...I need them ASAP so the stats can become FINAL and I can get to work on the 2004 Banquet Program, to be passed out on Sept. 25th...

 

8/19/04 --- The League History section is now posted...Just the basic framework is in place, it may take 2-to-3 years to fill in all of the missing information, but I will probably start with 2000 and work my way through to 2004, so I can eliminate the Archives sections, and then I'll go back to 1984 and work my way forward, then go back to 1970 and work my way forward, then go to 1968 and work my way backward...             I'll post the "Coming Soon" page shortly, a section that will give me a loose guideline to sections of this website that will be updated over the next 6 months...The site will be undergoing a bit of an overhaul during this time, so if you see any links or pages down, please email me that info...Also, if there is anything you would like to see on this site, drop me an email...

 

8/18/04 --- Still missing a couple regular season stat sheets, but I will do a stat update with what I have soon...Playoff stats will be posted in the Banquet Program, which will be distributed at the banquet on September 25th...I haven't been paying too much attention to the Final stats because I have been working on the League History Page a bit the last week or so, just getting some of the framework done as far as how I want to layout that monstrous section...

 

8/12/04 --- If anybody is interested in an NFL "Last Man Standing" or "Survival Football" contest, then email Steve...If there is enough interest, then I, on behalf of the league, can run one (through Yahoo), and if people want a small monetary prize, then there will be a small monetary fee to enter...This is the contest where you pick a different team to win every week, etc, etc...And the contest is open to anybody (you don't have to be a player in this league)...

 

8/10/04 --- Game 1 of the Finals has been agreed upon by both Managers to be played on Thursday, August 12...If Game 1 is rained out, it will NOT be made up on Friday, the series will then revert back to its original schedule...The new Finals schedule is laid out on the calendar schedule...

 

8/6/04 --- The Game 1 make-up for Limeport and ICC is SAT at ICC at 1:00 and Game 2 is Sunday at Limeport at 7:30...

 

8/5/04 --- Folks, some more pc/cable modem connection issues AGAIN, I hopefully have it cured, but I was unable to update the site from 8 p.m. through 5 a.m. on Thursday...This sucks, but things seem to be ok now...

 

8/1/04 --- Folks, FastNet had a FTP issue last night, so I was unable to update the website the entire night...The Coplay at LT game for Sunday will be played at Northampton HS...           Because of the FastNet issue, a stat update won't happen until LATE Sunday night, maybe after midnight, and the players eligible for the playoffs will be posted LATE Sunday night, although the list was already discussed at the meeting on Friday...           The Banquet is SEPT 25th...Voting is already completed for 4 awards on Friday...MVPlayer is Ben Swatsky, MVPitcher is Brian Boylan, Rookie of the Year is Jon Kaletja and MGR of the Year is Mike Brosious...The voting tallies will be posted in the Banquet Program...

 

7/31/04 --- All stat sheets that I have received are posted...A Stat update will be posted SAT afternoon or late evening, and all eligible players for the playoffs will be posted on the Home Page on SAT, too...

 

7/30/04 --- The playoffs start on Sunday, unless the one-game playoff between ICC & LT gets rained out or ends in a tie on SAT...           Playoff Managers, please remember to continue to fax/email the stat sheets in, as the stat sheets do get posted, and playoff stats are posted in the Banquet Program...           Check the calendar schedule for all playoff games, as all games for the First Round, Semifinals and Finals are posted...

 

7/29/04 --- There is one scheduled regular season game left to play: Limeport at ICC on Friday...If ICC wins, there will be a one-game playoff at LT on Saturday at 5:00...           There is a meeting at ICC at 5:30 on Friday to discuss and Vote on whether we'll play any Saturday playoff games or just wait until the regular season Officially finishes on SAT, and then start the playoffs on Sunday...If Limeport wins on Friday, then the playoffs WILL start Saturday...           Also, there is a new poll on the Home Page, AND players, the league banquet is set for September 25th, time and place to be announced...

 

7/28/04 --- Calendar schedule is up to date with the remaining games...The Playoffs are officially pushed back at least one day due to the Limeport/ICC tie...No meeting on Thursday, either...Also, the team schedules are up to date...           Again, NO Meeting on Thursday, it has been moved back tentatively to Saturday...

 

7/25/04 --- We may change some scheduled games these last 4 or 5 days of the regular season...The Limeport/Yankees game is probably going to be played on Thursday, which means the JC vs NY may be played on Friday...Stay tuned...

 

7/24/04 --- Weather permitting we should be looking at JC at Cetronia to play TODAY, SAT, at 5:30...We should be looking at NY at Limeport (with NY as the home team) OR Limeport at NY at Scherersville #1 at 5:30 on Sunday (30-and-over Fleetwings do not play, neither does Tri-City, and JC is at Coplay)...Bushkill at LT should be Sunday at 1:30 or 2:00, either at Scherersville #5 or at Bushkill with LT being the Home team...           Get the games rescheduled people...           The stats are posted, with all games received as of 7/23...

 

7/23/04 --- Managers, be prepared to play doubleheaders on SAT and SUN if we get rained out FRI night...If we get rained out both days, doubleheaders must be played on SUN, and if it does indeed rain SAT and SUN, then the meeting on THUR will start late and then THUR may be a possible make-up date...

 

7/22/04 --- All the stat sheets that I have received (155 of them) are now on the website...There absolutely WILL be a stat update on Friday, maybe in the afternoon, but more likely late in the evening...There are at least 2 teams with multiple stat sheets not turned in, you know who you are, please get them in ASAP...           Also, since I get this question every year: Where are the stat sheets on the website?...If you click on the Scores/Schedules link on the Home Page, then click on any of the numbers on the calendar on the left side of the page, you will see a page that contains boxscores, like this one:     - 123  456  7  R H E Johnson is no stranger to the struggles of business, having filed for Replica Handbags UK bankruptcy in 2012, but to her it's all part of the ride. 7/20/04 --- The Bushkill at Limeport make-up date is July 26...The Coplay at Gabelsville game is indeed a go for this Friday, the 23rd...All games are currently scheduled, except I am still waiting to see where the ICC at LT game is for this Sunday, the 25th...           Also, I will try to have a stat update after midnight (well past midnight) WED into THUR if time allows...Remember, all stat sheets are viewable on the website...

 

7/19/04 --- The Jordan Creek at Northern Yankees game has been rescheduled for July 24 at 1:00, per both managers...All team schedules are up-to-date with all the changes that have been given to me...

 

7/17/04 --- Check your team schedules daily and managers, make up all of your rainouts ASAP and on the first open date for both teams, and keep in mind that there will be doubleheaders galore this weekend to get these games in...If your field is not available, then a neutral field or your opponent's field must be used...

 

7/16/04 --- The managers of ICC and JC agreed amongst themselves to switch Saturday's game to ICC, and have ICC be the Home Team...ICC will play Gabelsville on July 20, so Coplay will be at Gabelsville on July 23, providing the Owls have their field that day...JC is playing Cetronia at Scherersville #1 this Sunday at 5:30...All games are rescheduled except the Limeport at ICC rainout, and there are no open days for about a week for those 2 teams...

 

7/15/04 --- I have all games rescheduled or tentatively rescheduled except the Coplay at Gabelsville rainout (Doc is out of town), but I will be emailing some Gabelsville players to let them know that the proposal is this: ICC is willing to take the original date of July 21 back, at Gabelsville, and then Coplay will play at Gabelsville on July 20...If this is unacceptable to the Owls, then the Coplay game MUST be played on July 23 per our bylaws pertaining to the first open date for both teams...I need to have an answer from Gabelsville by Sunday night...           Other games I rescheduled: JC at Cetronia will be this Sunday, July 18th, per our bylaws, and both teams have this day free...If Cedarbrook is available, then the game will be played there at 5:30, or even 2:00, and if Cedarbrook is not open, then the game will be played at Scherersville #5 at 2:00...The JC @ NY game will be played on July 26...           Also, the Gabelsville at LT doubleheader starts at 2:00 on SAT, and, yes, it is OK that the Milford at Cetronia game on July 22 be switched to Scherersville #5...Cetronia no longer has their field that day, they were bumped...

 

7/14/04 --- Tri-City is making up their game with Bushkill on July 20 at Scherersville #5...Still no word on the JC @ NY rainout from July 12...Doc Moyer is away for a week, so rescheduling the Coplay rainout from July 14 may be difficult, but a few dates come to mind...Remember Managers, that rainouts should be rescheduled on the first available date for both teams from this point forward...

 

7/13/04 --- Per the bylaws, the ICC/LT rainout from July 12 will be replayed on July 18 (the only open date these 2 teams have that match up), unless these 2 teams can find another date, and the only other possibilities may be July 24 at 1:30 or July 25 (if LT's field is available on the 25th)...Managers, Please keep in mind that any rainouts the rest of the way need to be rescheduled immediately, even if it means playing doubleheaders on SAT and SUN, as the regular season will NOT be pushed back unless there is a ton of rain these last 2 weeks...           All games have been rescheduled except for 2:  the JC @ NY rainout from July 12 and the Bushkill at Tri-City rainout from July 12, both home teams have been contacted...Email or call Steve when you have make-up dates, and if you cannot seem to find a make-up date, remember the bylaws say that the game should be played on the FIRST open date that both teams have (providing a field is available)...Use Scherersville #5 if you need to...All team schedules and the calendar schedule are completely up to date...If there are mistakes, email Steve...

 

7/11/04 --- The calendar schedule is now completely up-to-date the rest of the way...The team schedules are also up-to-date...I have suggested a July 25th make-up date for the NY @ ICC game...The only outstanding game that I know of is the Gab @ Cet make-up date, rained out from July 7...

 

7/9/04 --- Congratulations to our gang for winning the All-Star Game tonight...Also, if there are mistakes on the stat sheets, PLEASE email Steve so I can make the corrections...I did find some errors and others were pointed out to me at the All-Star Game...Mistakes happen...Some teams email me stats, and I just copy-and-paste them in without even checking them, some come in by fax and the fax is hard to read and other times, I simply screw it up, making a data entry error here or there...Email me with any errors you see...Thank you...

 

7/8/04 --- Nolan Neiman has been added to the All-Star roster to replace Mitch Schueck...

 

7/7/04 --- Tony Toth has secured Bicentennial Park for 4 games for Jordan Creek...The games are: July 12 with the Northern Yankees as home team, July 19 vs. Northern Yankees, July 23 vs. Cetronia and July 28 vs. Lehigh Township...All games start at 6:00...

 

7/6/04 --- Jose Guerrero signed to play pro ball, and Jon Kensecki from Cetronia has been named to replace him on the roster...Jordan Creek will play Milford on SAT...           Deadline for players to withdraw from the All-Star Game is 7:30 on Wednesday, July 7th...If you do not show up to the Game, there will be a 3-game suspension...

 

7/5/04 --- Mitch Schueck cannot participate in the All-Star Game and has been removed from the roster...Pitcher Todd Stapleton has been added to the roster, others were bypassed because apparently, Milford and Jordan Creek are possibly playing each other the night of the All-Star Game...           Also, I updated Cetronia's stats for all games received through 6/30...

 

7/2/04 --- The Service Electric cable modem service was down all afternoon, until now, but I have to leave for my game...Another Stat update will have to be posted some time on SAT night...

 

7/1/04 --- Stats (about 90 stat sheets worth) are posted...Updated stats for all 112 stat sheets that I have will  be posted some time after 3:30 p.m. on Friday...The 2004 Trico All-Star team is posted, click on the rotating star on the Home Page...Every stat sheet that I have is on the website, I am missing about 9 games that are not turned in yet...

 

6/29/04 --- Very long meeting on TUE...The All-Star team is picked and will be posted on THUR, and so will the stats, which would've been posted tonight, but I got about 20 more stat sheets on TUE, so I may as well throw those numbers into the mix and recalculate everything before posting THUR night...

 

6/28/04 --- Every stat sheet that I have received is on the website...And starting today, all stat sheets will be posted on the website the day I receive them (now that I am caught up)...Please get all outstanding stat sheets faxed or emailed to me ASAP, today, Monday, do not wait until Tuesday's meeting...

 

6/26/04 --- I am working my way backwards, putting the most recent stat sheets received on the site late FRI night...The early June and May stat sheets will be posted this weekend...           Also, I have not received ANY stat sheets from the Northern Yankees...None...Please get them to me ASAP, I need them by Monday afternoon...           And, I don't know what the Morning Call is doing with our schedule, but it is to be ignored, because it is rarely right...Coplay plays AT Bushkill AT 1:30 today...

 

6/25/04 --- Managers, get all stat sheets to me this weekend or Monday at the absolute latest so I can have up-to-date stats for the All-Star voting...Stat sheets will be posted FRI night on the website, and hopefully we can have stats posted this weekend...

 

6/23/04 --- I am looking to add stat sheets to the website on FRI and SAT...It's been a hectic month, there will be no late fines through this weekend, but starting with this Friday's games, we will have fines for late stat sheets...When all of the stat sheets are added, stats will be posted...

 

6/22/04 --- If I missed a player on any team's roster, let me know ASAP as the roster deadline has now passed...

 

6/20/04 --- The roster deadline is Monday, June 21, at midnight...Also remember, position players need 27 plate appearances to qualify for the playoffs and pitchers need 17 IP...Legion-eligible players just need to meet half of those requirements, whether it is 13 or 14 ABs or 8.1 or 8.2 innings will be determined at the June 29 meeting...           The Calendar Schedule is updated through June 28...

 

6/14/04 --- Tri-City is the Home team both games this week vs. Jordan Creek...Also, the ICC/Jordan Creek game has been moved from the 19th to the 20th...And, the Milford/ICC games have been switched, they are playing on June 15, they are just switching home games with a later date...Please check the Team Schedules as they are the most up to date...If there are any schedule changes, please email or call Steve immediately...           The calendar schedule is up to date through June 20...

 

6/9/04 --- Calendar Schedule is updated through this Sunday, June 13, while the Team schedules are up to date with what has been communicated to me...

 

6/6/04 --- Managers, please verify all makeup dates and new dates by calling or emailing Steve...Upper Perk is at Coplay on Monday, June 7 and Milford is at Lehigh Twp. on June 8, both games have been confirmed...           Home teams need to verify all games with asterisks to the right of it and no "V"...If you see an "NG", this means No Game, because the Home team cannot get the field...

 

6/3/04 --- Players/Managers, the calendar schedule is being fixed slowly, it is fine through June 5, I will update further tonight...But the team schedules are accurate, although I did just get a few changes late last night that I will add after my game tonight...There is NO ICC/Gabelsville game on June 7...Please call or email Steve if your schedule doesn't look right...

 

5/31/04 --- Managers, PLEASE check your team schedules and Verify your new schedule ASAP...I have talked to a few managers...If a "V" is located to the right of a game, this means that BOTH Managers have verified that this date is ok...An "NG" signifies "No Game" on this date because the field was not available...If there is no V or NG listed, it is because I have heard from only one or neither MGR about whether it is ok to have the game there...Let's get cracking here, people...

 

5/29/04 --- Managers, PLEASE check your team schedules and Verify your new schedule ASAP...Contact the opposing MGR and email or call Steve to verify that you have all the changes...Also call the Umpire Assignor...

 

5/27/04 --- The tentative revised schedule is out and can only be found on the individual team schedules...Managers, PLEASE check these schedules out IMMEDIATELY and if any dates are bad, you must notify the opposing team ASAP, along with the Statistician and Umpire Assignor...All changes are indicated with 5 asterisks after the game...Please confirm with me that all days are OK, and if they are not, you must call the opposing MGR and reschedule immediately and contact me with the change...           Also, a "V" after the asterisks means the change has been "Verified" by both Managers and the game is a "Go"...           All Limeport Home games are now being played at 7:00 (except Sundays)...Make a note...

 

5/26/04 --- The Bushkill/ICC game is rained out...

 

5/23/04 --- There will be NO Bushkill game on Monday, as all the teams that Bushkill could have played were unavailable...No Monday game for Bushkill, it will be rescheduled later in the season...

 

5/21/04 --- Things returning to normalcy a little bit...I will get all the Stat Sheets I have on the website SAT or SUN night, late...Schedule still being re-worked...

 

5/20/04 --- There won't be any updates to the site for at least 24 hours, until I get my new pc around midnight on THUR and get it up and running...I will add stat sheets to the site on FRI night or SAT night...Found a few more Transactions that I missed and added them...They should all be on there...Email me if players are missing...

 

5/19/04 --- The Transactions Page is up and running...Managers, if there are any names misspelled or any players missing from the Transactions Page (I'll update Rosters some time on WED), then please email me immediately...

 

5/18/04 --- Folks, it has been a hectic 2 weeks for me...I will get my new pc on THUR night around 11 p.m....I am still using a temporary pc, but I will have some down time all day on THUR as I have to turn my temporary pc in late WED night, so there will be no updates to the site for 24 hours...A death in the family has eaten up a ton of my time the last 8 days and will continue to do so for a day or three or four, so bear with me as I try and get the new schedule re-done, the Transactions Page up, and the stat sheets that are rolling in on the site...I apologize for the lack of timely updates, but I simply have not been home much over the last 8 days...

 

5/13/04 --- Profiles/Rosters pages are updated for all teams and team previews have been posted...More information might be added if teams wish to inform me about new players I know nothing about and did not include in the team comments...The Transactions Page will be updated some time on Friday or Saturday...The revised schedule is still being reworked...

 

5/12/04 --- Schedule still being reworked...All games are still being played as listed except for the Banko games...Rosters and previews are complete through Jordan Creek...The rest of the teams will be added on THUR, and the Transactions Page will be updated as there have been many transactions already...Again, the Coplay/LT game, scheduled for THUR, has been postponed to a later date...All games will go off as scheduled as we fix all of the Banko slots with additions, soon to be posted....

 

5/03/04 --- Team schedules are now posted...Note the switch of the Yankees/ICC game from May 16 to May 15...Also, Tri-City has 2 games scheduled for June 13, this is the last "kink" in the schedule that needs to be worked out as far as I know...           Managers, bring rosters to the meeting on May 5th and make sure that ALL fees are paid at this meeting...Also bring team previews for Marty Rowan so he can preview all the teams on this weekend's radio show...Time, day and station to be announced...

 

4/30/04 --- The Day-by-Day schedule on the Scores/Schedule Page is finished (the calendar schedule), including Playoff dates (subject to change)...We will try and have the team schedules posted Friday night...

 

4/29/04 --- The Pocono Mountain League has a baseball tournament on Mother's Day weekend, go to the Home Page and click on the icon half-way down the page for more information...           The day-by-day schedule is complete through June 30th on the Scores/Schedules Page...July will hopefully be finished on Thursday night and the team schedules should be done on Friday night...

 

4/28/04 --- Will be getting the schedule on the site this week...Managers, get me any changes ASAP...Next meeting is May 5th at 7:30...

 

3/4/04 --- Folks, I have been swamped and neglecting the site the last few months, but we will try and get things cranked up and up to date here...The tentative schedule will be posted on the site on Friday...I will try and get Career Stats and Leaders and all that stuff up to date next week...I have some Correspondence that needs to be posted, and some links that I will add to the site that other leagues have been sending me...The season is right around the corner, time for me to get the site ready for the 2004 season...

 

3/1/04 --- The next meeting is WED, March 3rd at 7:00 at the Jordan AC...The 2004 schedule will be worked on...Also, since Mother's Day is May 8th, we are hanging the schedule to start on May 7th, so the games in late July are being moved up to the week of May 7th...

 

2/16/04 --- The next meeting is WED, February 18th at 7:00 at the Jordan AC...The 2004 schedule will be worked on...

 

1/9/04 --- The first meeting of 2004 will be on TUE, January 13 at 7:00 at the Jordan AC...The original date had to be moved...If any new teams are interested in joining, they need to make a presentation at this meeting...email Steve or any Officer with questions...
